Key Checks and Opportunities Before Summer

Subsidy expert Bas van Benthem shares practical insights, relevant subsidy updates, and key opportunities for start-ups and scale-ups.
As the first half of the year is almost behind us, now is a good moment to review your subsidy administration and upcoming funding opportunities.
WBSO.
With only about one month left before the first half of the year comes to a close, it is wise to check your WBSO administration. Review how many R&D hours have been registered so far and whether this still aligns with the number of hours originally applied for.
If needed, you can still adjust your planning and steer accordingly, for example by applying for additional hours in time. Have you not applied for WBSO yet? The WBSO can be applied for every month, so there are still opportunities to benefit from this scheme.
SLIM.
The lottery list for the individual SLIM subsidy has been published. Make sure to check your lottery number against the official list. If your number is below 500, your application will be assessed.
Once again, interest in this scheme has been high: around 3,300 companies submitted an application during during this round.
SIB.
For companies with international ambitions, the SIB scheme remains available throughout the year. This subsidy can support activities such as attending international trade fairs, joining trade missions, developing marketing activities for a specific target country, or purchasing external knowledge and expertise.
The scheme covers 50% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of €2,500 per application. In recent years, the available budget has often been exhausted around October or November, so it is advisable not to wait too long before applying.
MIT Feasibility Projects.
The lottery lists for MIT Feasibility Projects have now been published by each province. Check whether your application has been selected and whether you are eligible for funding.
North Holland and Lelystad are exceptions: no lottery list was published there, as fewer applications were submitted in these regions and each application can be taken into assessment.
